A displaced fracture is an injury to the bones in which they are broken and moved out of alignment with each other.
Classification:
- Complete displaced fracture
- Incomplete displaced fracture
- Multiple displaced fractures
Symptoms:
Sharp pain, swelling, bone displacement, changes in the shape and length of the limb.
Causes:
Trauma, accidents, falls from height, sports injuries.
Diagnosis:
X-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Treatment:
Application of a cast, surgical intervention (orthopedic pins, plates, screws).
