What is Ascariasis?

Ascariasis is a parasitic disease caused by roundworms-ascaris. They inhabit the human small intestine and can cause various symptoms and complications.

Causes

Diagnosis
Stool and blood tests are used for the diagnosis of ascariasis, as well as instrumental methods such as X-ray examination.
Treatment
Treatment of ascariasis is carried out using antiparasitic drugs and symptomatic therapy. In some cases, surgical intervention may be required to remove the worms.
